At St. Mark’s, we are fully committed to working closely with children and their families in order to ensure that the social, emotional and mental health needs of all within our school community are met. We place a great emphasis upon the holistic education of our children, and our school values ensure that attributes and traits such as compassion, trust, justice, courage and respect are taught, valued and celebrated just as much as our academic achievements.
As well as our expertise within school, we regularly work with a wider network of professionals and can draw upon their expertise in school when needed to support our children.
We are incredibly proud of the high standards and expectations of behaviour exhibited by our children in school. Great care is taken to develop positive, lasting relationships between all members of our school community, and our children take great pride in their role in this and feel safe whilst at school.
First Aid
We take every care to ensure the safety of all our pupils but occasionally accidents can happen.
If your child accidentally bumps their head we will administer first aid, telephone parents, and complete a form on Medical Tracker which will be emailed to parents.
If your child suffers a minor injury i.e. grazes themselves we will administer first aid as normal and complete an online incident form on Medical Tracker which will be emailed to parents.
If your child suffers a significant injury we will administer first aid and telephone parents immediately.
Please remember that our First Aiders are not medical professionals but are trained to administer basic first aid. A record of all first aid incidents are kept and reviewed regularly.
Medicine
If your child requires medicine to be stored in school, please bring this to the school office where staff will complete an online form on Medical Tracker.
